Many of you have no doubt heard of our project to relocate all of the college offices. Dr. Chappell made a decision to begin the college office relocation project on July 5, 2020, and we have received additional gifts and pledges which allowed us to both hold our groundbreaking ceremony and begin construction. We praise the Lord that in the midst of all that is going on, WCBC is able to continue moving forward. Please pray with us about this project as our desire is to complete this project by the end of the year.
Additionally, this summer we are repainting all of the dormitories, putting in new carpet, and purchasing new mattresses for every bed.
While there were initial cancellations due to the pandemic, we have been able to send several tour groups out on the road, and we have seen a great response this summer!
In early May, our college leadership established a task force overseeing the college’s preparation for reopening the campus this fall. They have been closely researching best practices in health and sanitation and are instituting guidelines and procedures for campus health and safety. As we look ahead to reopening in the fall, our faculty is busy preparing classes as well.
While COVID response requirements for the fall still present some unknowns, there is no doubt in our mind that we will be prepared. Please pray with us for both incoming and returning students.
