Graduating Year:
2003
Degree:
Secondary Education

I was able to transfer and finish my educational training at West Coast Baptist College during the 2002-2003 school year. The Lord directed my parents to encourage me to finish here. It was here in Lancaster, CA, that the Lord led me to meet my future husband, Stephen Baldus. He has been a faithful member of Lancaster Baptist Church since 1998 and a local public school teacher for many years. We met in a Connection Group and continued to grow together under the teaching of God’s Word. We married and remained faithful servants here at Lancaster Baptist Church.

The first few years after graduation, I was able to help Lancaster Baptist School in the area of substitute teaching. Today, some of those same students are now training my own children in LBS. What a blessing to see the next generation continue serving and training others. The Lord has allowed me to continue serving in the children’s ministry. Stephen and I first started serving together in a third-grade boy’s Sunday School class. We rejoiced when the boys made great decisions of salvation, following in baptism, or in giving to the church (missions, building offerings, or special occasions). As the new Kid’s City Building is going up, we remember those years of sacrificial giving and prayer that the children participated in now coming to fruition. God is so good to answer the children’s prayers!

Currently, I get to serve in the nurseries. We pray diligently for each child as God allows the parents to grow in church, so that they might have a more spiritual home. The ability to serve my Lord in the music ministry is another great joy in my life. My kids will testify, that in our home, music is a key to our family. In many of the Psalms and in Ephesians 5, God's Word encourages us to use music as a tool to worship and encourage ourselves in the Lord.

Over the past two years, the Lord has opened a door of service for me here at WCBC. I have the opportunity to serve our US servicemen and their families while they use their GI Bill® benefits to help pay for their educational costs while training for the Lord’s will. This is a growing ministry that I believe the Lord can use greatly in training those men and women to serve Him better.
