After earning my BRE in Church Ministries in December of 2012, God allowed me to join the team here at West Coast Baptist College. This began an amazing journey for which I’m thankful. My initial role included several responsibilities, but it mostly focused on supporting Dr. Rasmussen in his day-to-day responsibilities. As you can imagine, Dr. Rasmussen has been a generous friend and impactful mentor, and I’m grateful for the training and opportunities that God has placed into my life.

I now serve as WCBC’s Director of Admissions, and I’m privileged to invest much of my time into helping high school student discover how God could use WCBC to prepare them to fulfill their callings. As a team, we are working to modernize and streamline our promotion and admissions processes through digital-first priorities that will position WCBC for long-term success while ensuring we continue to emphasize the personal, mentoring relationships that we all appreciated so much as students.

Dana and I were married in August of 2014, and we love serving together. Those of you who know Dana are aware that her love for God, passion for life, and desire to serve others impact everyone around her. Since her graduation, she has served in a variety of roles at Lancaster Baptist Church. Lord willing, we’ll be welcome our first child in mid-January 2021. Based on the comments we’re hearing from all of the doctors and nurses, she’s going to be quite the rambunctious little girl. We couldn’t be more thrilled.

This past spring, Dana and I joined a young adults connection group where we serve alongside Nick and Laura Piervicenti. The Antelope Valley has seen a dramatic increase in our single, young adult population over the last several years, and we love investing in each one God allows us to impact. We are reminded daily of the intelligence, resourcefulness, capability, and desire to make an impact that defines so many young adults.

Each day, we discover just a little more fully how great our God is, and we are earnestly anticipating all that he will do through WCBC’s increasing alumni in the years to come.
